Both our business magazines, Faroe Business Report and Front Seat Magazine, were visibly present at this year’s edition of the Donsö Shipping Meet. The trade exhibition and networking event, which took place on 3rd and 4th September, brought together some 800 delegates — marine suppliers, shipping industry professionals, and vessel owners and operators.
DSM13 was attended by most major Swedish shipowners, many of whom have roots on the island of Donsö in the Gothenburg archipelago. In addition to their Swedish counterparts, suppliers and service providers came from around the world, especially from Norway and Denmark, but also from a number of other countries including, for example, Germany, Finland, Russia, Britain, France, Holland, and the Faroe Islands.
Underscoring the significance of the event, the opening ceremony featured Sweden’s Minister of Infrastructure, Catharina Elmsäter-Svärd, who pledged to improve the legal environment of the Swedish shipping industry.
