A public relations course we held for clients in the Faroe Islands gathered 27 delegates for two full days.
The course ‘Trust and Credibility in an Uncertain World: What Every Manager Should Know About PR’ took place 18 and 19 October in the Faroese capital Torshavn, with instructors from Nordixis.com, the Aberdeen Press and Journal’s newspaper ‘Energy’ and Scotland’s largest PR agency, The BIG Partnership.
Delegates learned about PR fundamentals, from reputation management and media relations through issues management and crisis communication to stakeholder engagement and public affairs. Both theory and practice were covered, with specific sessions dedicated to communication in the fishing and energy industries.
“People loved it,” said Nordixis.com managing director Bui Tyril, who was one of three instructors, joined by BIG’s Kathryn McKee and Energy’s Jeremy Cresswell. He added: “The response we received was very encouraging.”
